Enjoyed a tall stack of cinnamon raisin French toast with some unsalted peanuts and a golden delicious apple lunch. I'm smoking year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a straight 1924 Dunhill’s “Shell Briar” patent pot 7 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Watching an episode of Bat Masterson. Gold Star Gourmet Blend, neat, is my drink.

Another beautiful sunny brisk day with a walk, some ball throwing with my 2nd best friend and a smoke in the first pipe (Butz-Choquin Camorgue marked 1281) that I bought back in about 1972 in a small tobacco shop in a small mall both of which are long gone.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2020 Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a straight, smooth brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Special 38 bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Cleaning a few pipes.
A G&H Dark Flake sample I've been sitting on, in a bones while the Vauen takes a break. Smoked St James Flake and London Dock earlier.
After a big bowl of this for breakfast I decided it was good enough to bring along. Just as good out of the Normandy. Can anyone help me put a mfg date to this pipe? I’ve not found much info. It’s a 600S.

My first bowl of a batch of Peretti BPC that I topped with dark rum, molasses, and a couple of drops of vanilla.
My initial reaction is that it’s pretty good. I had a quarter bowl of unadulterated BPC as a control before I lit this one. It’s clearly sweeter with a pleasant added flavor, though I doubt I could pick it out as anything in particular if I didn’t know what it was. A very nice surprise is a creaminess that wasn’t there before.
As I have no idea what I’m doing, I assumed the most likely outcome would be
, but it turned out nicely.

Book says 7.5gallons, put 7.5 in and don’t have anything in sight glass and zero hydraulics.
