The warmest February 27th. in history today in Chicago, 76 frickin' degrees! WTF!
I stuffed my Peterson Sherlock Holmes Original (1987) with Orlik Golden Sliced, brewed a mug of Upton Tea Baker Street Blend, grabbed the new issue of American Record Guide and went out to the patio to smoke, sip tea and read about the news in the Classical music world before the predicted severe drop in temperature, thunderstorms and possible tornados roared in this evening.
Talk about drama!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've passed the first third of this bowl of year 2016 Sutliff Revelation Match in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII Kingsway (Comoy’s) London Made 61 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Going to work now. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Nothing like ending a day with a few assorted ranch chores and a pipe, as has become something of a routine for me lately--weather permitting, of course. Today was Sutliff Voodoo Queen in a MM mini-cob.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, Steller's jay, Oak titmouse, White-crowned sparrow, Spotted towhee, Northern flicker, Red-tailed hawk, House finch, American crow, Hairy woodpecker, White-breasted nuthatch, and Western bluebird.

Spinach & mushroom lasagna on the docket for tonight. Joy.

5 year old HU Asmara in an unfinished Sav 320 again.

I just opened the tin and as I really enjoy Oriental forward blends this one is pressing the right buttons so it’s getting a replay. Notes of butter, incense and a pleasant sour note. There’s a hint of Perique as well. A nice change from the Burley blends I’ve been favoring lately.
