I've passed the half way mark of this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Half way through this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Jim’s Special Flake 2023 in a 1984 black rusticated full bend Peterson Mark Twain military mount egg with a silver cap and tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem.

You've made a fine choice (!). I love my Peterson Army Mount 999, the looks, the "feel in hand" & how great it smokes. Having said that, I've always loved my Savinelli Antique Shell 626 with same kudos .... looks, "feel in hand" & (maybe) my best smoking pipe. Neither has the biggest bowl, but both just SO nice. Which is "better"? As John Wayne said once, "I'd hate to have to live on the difference." And since you're entering "the new world of bent pipes", down the line .... WAY down the line .... is the whole genre of Oom Pauls. : ) Oh Yeah...

Just finished smoking year 2015 Mac Baren Virginia #1 in a pre-1923 smooth dark brown early Comoy’s Prior (Gros, Grenier, Ostero & Cie.) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Now smoking Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Hopefully, I'll end a long, busy day with this smoke.
