When I got home, the wife wanted to walk the trails, it's been a while and I need to walk more, knew that wouldn't leave me pipe time so I loaded the little Royal Meerschaum dragon with WCC Rouxgaroux.

Not sure if it was worth it though, hard to enjoy it with a bulldog that wants to power-walk the whole way and also can't maintain a consistent pace.

H&H Signature Classic Burley Kake with a cup of Irish Breakfast tea. Just chillin' until the pork butt braised in apple cider and onions is done. Pork gets shredded and served over polenta with roasted butternut squash and a sage infused brown butter. 🤤

How is it? I just got my tins in a few days ago but have not opened one yet. Love the coin, I am pretty sure I got 5 of them in my order by weighing the tins.

The tin note is very smoky and spicy. When smoking it, the sidestream has a slightly pungent aroma that made my nostrils flare a little—sort of the sensation like smelling a hint of ammonia, but not in an offensive way—the smoke and spiciness are there as promised by the tin note, but there’s a fruity sweetness that intermingles with those smoke and spice notes. It seems very balanced. There are some floral notes and a slight tartness—almost a tongue drying astringency there, and at the same time, a bit of creaminess to the mouth feel. I’ll have to spend more time with it to get a better sense, but those would be my initial impressions.

Just finished smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I'm still pissed off I didn't get a toy in my tin of VI. I liked it so much I just ordered half a dozen more, but if I don't get my prize this time I'm going to start putting Frosted Flakes in my pipes.

I remember digging to the bottom of cereal boxes and Cracker Jacks to fish the toy out as a kid. With every release of Pipe Force so far, with the exception of VI, I was able to procure a coin for myself and my friend, Chris (he’s into pipes and Star Wars—I’m still looking for one for him from VI. With this new release, three out of the ten tins I got have the coin (based on weight, tins with coins are 148–150 grams as opposed to without, which come in about 114–116 grams).
