Wow. I've noticed a significant increase in fertilizer prices over the past couple of years. I live surrounded by farms and love to watch the land being worked. This year tobacco will be the crop in my area. It was soy beans last year. I myself cropped tobacco as a youngster as did my wife. I learned a lot those summers and those lessons helped mold me into who I am today. Farming is not for the faint of heart and I have nothing but the utmost respect for the people who chose to farm. I don't have a farm but I do garden and grow my own produce. My boys bought some land and have a dozen head of cattle, turkeys and chickens and that came from gardening and raising chickens on this two acre plot.I’ve acquired some more country just recently and it completes the farm from a land acquisition point of view but my fert bill this year will be north of $1.5 million, that doesn’t include spreading cost. Like dad would always say “big acres, big bills”.

Thank you for the information! Will look him up.Hi Carol. I think it is this painter. Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky was a Russian romantic painter. He is considered one of the best marine artists in history. Named Hovhannes Aivazian, Aivazovsky was born into an Armenian family in the Black Sea port of Feodosia in the Crimea, living there most of his life. View attachment 289018
Glad you're OK,Having finished running around for two weeks as a cardiac scare turned into a cancer scare, turned into "That's a harmless lipoma on my chest that's rubbing on a nerve", I return triumphantly to the pipe!
Meerschaum containing my homegrown from last year, spiced up a little with some DFK.
