Morning all, cool, grey and showers out of the south today. Smoking some Mac Baren Burley Flake in a Charles Towne Cobbler with coffee as I contemplate the day ahead.

G & H Rum Flake in a Trypis bent acorn. A light dry time, looser pack, and a smaller bowl seem to be a winning combination with this blend. Really enjoying it.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch,and am smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Lavazza Perfetto, neat, is my drink.

Going to have Mac Baren Vanilla Cream Loose Cut in the third of my 2024 Birthday pipes, made by Black Sea—Hai Nguyen Tuan ( @bienden ) is a Vietnamese architect and lecturer by trade, and hobbyist pipemaker in his spare time. This pipe is made with Zebrawood and has interchangeable magnetic caps: the lighter one with a Morta bowl, the darker one with a Briar bowl. I usually smoke vanilla blends in my Oguz Simsek Olive Skull Figural pipe. I thought it might be fun to dedicate this pipe to aromatics, and use the light cap for vanilla blends and the dark one for chocolate. Thanks to @Valliantpiper for this pipe.

Delightful sunny afternoon. Low chore day.
Went looking for more flake baccy in the cellar. Found some Apr 18 C&D, Star of the East that I bought from @hoosierpipeguy over a year ago- thanks Mark!

Smoked in the the Savinelli Oscar “Aged Briar” pot - shape 122.
When I open the mylar bag, I was greeted with the wonderful smoky essence of Latakia. While sitting here smoking this, it very much reminds me of some well aged GLP Gaslight. Rich, smooth, creamy, smoky with very subtle sweetness.
A very fine smoke indeed!

I have that exact pipe It was one of the few I received that was my grandads, I haven’t restored it partially because it was the pipe I use to pretend to smoke as a kid I take a draw every now and then to remember that stale tobacco taste, Great Pipe
