Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm nearing the half way mark on this bowl of Watch City Old Dominion Flake 25th Anniversary in a late 50s, early 60s Comoy’s straight smooth dark brown Deluxe 20 billiard with a silver cap military mount and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Went on a local lunting this afternoon before the storm, taking along Dunhill Aperitif in my Savinelli Bacco 321 bent author. Bird report: California scrub-jay, Common raven, Oak titmouse, California towhee, Spotted towhee, White-breasted nuthatch, Mountain chickadee, Dark-eyed junco, White-crowned sparrow, and California thrasher. Temperature is dropping significantly...going to have to leave a drip on so the pipes don't freeze.

We’re probably going to have this Fonseca’s 1977 Vintage Port that I’ve been sitting on for a number of years—about once every decade, a stellar vintage gets released; classic years have been 1955, 1963, and 1977; the 1977 vintage had a number of nearly perfect 100 ratings from a few different houses).

10:58pm, Saturday Evening: Getting ready to enjoy the mystical majesty and transcendental taste of Dunhill's Durbar - an endangered species listed pipe mixture - in my Nording 6.89" partially rusticated Demi-Churchwarden Volcano with Vulcanite stem; paired with hot green tea so not to influence the flavor of this other-worldly smoke. Having a 50/50 mix of C&D white burley and Sutliff stoved Virginia in the #1 cob. I was expecting a lot of “shredded wheat and raisins” vibe from this combo, but it’s kinda muted, especially the sweetness. Could just be the state of this pipe; I’ll try it another time or two.
