Now Smoking: Lane Ltd. 1-Q, as I am all full-up of Vitamin-N at the moment, so, it's time for a bit of N-lite dessert.

The Pipe: is another one of my Molina Barasso-series, unfinished, sandblasted pipes which Wifey finished with some of her alcohol-based dyes - this one was a combination of a base coat of 'Leather' all over, with a Wash of 'Tobacco' for highlights - IIRC. It's a 5.79" semi-bent Rhodesian, 105 Shape, with chrome ring, and a step-down Acrylic stem.

By the way, while I normally smoke my purer tabaks on the drier-side and mason-jarred, for these heavily cased and topped blends which I tend to enjoy as an occasional candy for desert, I store them in these wonderful little wooden barrel-style humidors, made by a company called: Mr. Brog - No, I never heard of him before either - which keep these inexpensive bulk aeros at the perfect "spongy" moisture level to my liking for smoking them. I can't recall if they hold 3, 4, or 5 ounces - depending on how firmly you compress - but when it comes time to re-pack one, I'll let you know. - Sherm Natman

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Just cleaned some pipes, and it's time to fed the ferals.

For IPSD 2023 I opened up a tin of Escudo from 2018 and put it in a Natural Blast Dublin by Scott Thile. This is the oldest Escudo I’ve smoked so far and it is delightful!

I broke out some Four Roses 2020 Limited Edition Small Batch Barrel Proof to sip on.

Life is good!

Currently smoking my first (probably only) pipe of the day, GLP Quiet Nights from 2018 in a Birinci Eagle Claw Meer. On the side, Columbian Oolong tea with honey. Quiet Nights is my go-to English; I absolutely love it and its aftertaste is fantastic. Just ordered another 8oz....this is a desert island tobacco for me.

Sticking with the 2018 Escudo but now in what is somewhat of a unicorn pipe for me that I acquired last year (finally!).

This is a Walt Cannoy Suedeblast Apple with a bamboo shank. Just a gorgeous pipe to hold (and behold). Pictures don’t do these pipes justice once you hold one. The blast is out of this world.

Moved to a dram of Kentucky Owl St. Patrick’s Day Edition.

Life is still very good!

Passing the quarter mark on this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I may end the day with this smoke.
