Passing the first third of this bowl of Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite.

Yesterday was one of those Hell-days at work, the ones that leave you without strength and will to do not even the things you like, as -for example- what we are dealing with in this forum. But today is a new day, Saturday morning, and I am smoking GH Balkan Mixture in a Mr Brog (Polish pear wood pipe) which has been totally modified by a local carver and drinking coffee.

After finish that bowl of MISERY , I decided to drink some high-quality Wuyi rock tea as a reward for this adventure. This kind of wild tea is called king of Oolong, which is produced in the mountains and rocks. It has undergone eight complex low-temperature fumigation processes (similar to Latakia or Dark Fire Kentucky) and has produced a peculiar flower fragrance.
The tobacco to match it is Arango Balkan supreme, in a pen‘kov's Dublin with mammoth teeth decoration.

Work's done for the day although I didn't do as much as I had hoped. Fed Suzy and Molly, then went out in cold to feed ferals. I'm passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2022 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a smooth medium bend 2011 Rinaldo Collection Fiammata Silver Line 7 Odea 04 flame grain bulldog with a silver band and a tortoise shell acrylic saddle stem.

2016 EGR! No more 2014 eh? I feel like this calls for some kind of celebration.

Not really, I have several tubs older than 2014 that I'll be smoking when this tin is done. I even have most of a cutter top from a 1960 EGR tub jarred, and an unopened tub from the late 1960s.

Last smoke of the day is Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Still have a few things to do.

Going to have Brebbia Latakia Flake No. 9 in a Savinelli Gold 111 KS Billiard with 18k Gold Band (750 Hallmark), 2 dot stem.

Last evening: C&D Autumn Evening in a Savinelli 2614KS ... I bought this based on the description and find it very tasty. I read the reviews after and was surprised most people find it sweet. I guess my batch isn't that sweet. I then added a tiny pinch of Old Toby and tried it in the Peterson second XL339S for a semi-sweet dessert around a campfire taste. Very nice combo. Maybe I have a sweet tooth !!

This morning: Newminster 400 Superior Navy Flake in the Peterson Second XL339S which is becoming one of my favorite slow sipping pipes. It took awhile to learn how to smoke and control it properly (very open draw and much condensation in shank chamber) but is well worth it. A real treat.
