Snacked on a few peanuts, and am smoking D&R Penhooker Silver in a straight smooth brown undated pre-republic Peterson Shamrock 263 Canadian with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite p-lip stem. Whether this is my last smoke of the day or not depends on when I finish the last page on this Archie story.

It's morning in Florida! Apparently today will be warmer than yesterday and finally the rain has let up. I am hopeful that Saturday will be warm and pleasant for the Florida Pipe Club meet in Tampa. It will be fun to see all the guys again and catch up. Today I am kicking my day off with a bowl of G&H Broken #7 Flake while I prep some Bosuns Plug for my after breakfast bowl. My pipe de jour is this wonderful 5 3/4 inch meerschaum 'cutty' pipe with a silver band hallmarked Birmingham 1900 with a very robust faux amber stem. Here is a picture set against my Moleskine daily task book to give you some idea of scale. Enjoy your morning and I will talk to you later!

@condorlover1 Hope you're well; it's been very windy ?️ here in Derbyshire!
Reminds me of the time I went to see the Sealed Knot and Dad says I spent all day trying to light my clay pipe:)

I broke the shank at the mortise of a Lorenzo carved rusticated, 1/2 bent billiard a long while back, just re-inserting (perhaps absentmindedly?) the stem. I'd been smoking this pipe regularly since I 'won' it at auction for about $10 or $20. It was a favorite and I was unhappy.
I kept the stummel and yesterday managed a decent fit with a military mount stem from another pipe by using some large drill bits and turning it by hand and some sandpaper.
I've got a mix in my bowl that I'm smoking this week consisting of Sutliff J-4 (burley) TS1-R (red VA) 507-S (stoved VA, and a nice handful of Lane's Dark Red.

Breakfast is done so it time for a bowl of Bosuns Plug in the same 1900 'cutty' I posted earlier as I am trying to get the sh*t brown coloring to finally cross the line and start coloring the foot and base of the bowl. I could post a picture to illustrate my point but you can work it out by looking at my previous post on page 71 or there about.
