Evening all.
Rare end of the day pipe for me — although it is my favorite time to smoke and relax. Holding off on having a likely bourbon before dinner. It’s warm, in the 70s, here in LA today.
Bird report of note: This morning the Cedar Waxwings, which pass through once a year, landed in our Toyon bushes and feasted on the red and gold berries.
I’m enjoying a bowl of Capstan Blue. I considered my Pete House Pipe, which I cleaned this weekend, but didn’t think I had 90 minutes to spare. So the Viking Dublin — I find a good shape for flake tobacco.

I think this angle foreshortens the pipe like an old Masters painting.
