It is a wonder to be outside with the sun on me after a week of sub-zero temperatures at night and nothing above freezing during the day. Guess the ice is probably a lot better than it has been most of the winter.

I'm smoking my second bowl of Folklore out of a Nuttens blasted cutty while listening to snowmelt in the gutters.

Beautiful pipe! And I like the tobacco drying and loading accoutrement. Did you make it or purchase it?

@simong Nice clay pipe; is that a Hardcastle clay??? I'll have to smoke some Cannon Plug in my clay pipes!!!
Cheers Dan, yes it's a Hardcastle. Haven't you tried the Cannon yet? Thought you'd of been straight on that one.
Evening gents. Winding down from a weekend of watching the rugby & drinking beer. Velvan Plug in a Peterson Zulu. Effortlessly sliced up after an overdue re-sharpening of my old Buck knife.

Good Morning denizens of the forum. After yesterdays Florida Pipe Club 'get together' I purchased a tin of Erinmore as a way of supporting Edwards Cigar and also since I have not smoked the stuff in forty years. I am sure like Royal Yuck there quite a few Erinmore devotees on this site. Anyway I am going to pop the 100g tin and have bowl full in a well colored meerschaum pipe whilst I catch up on the news. I'll let you have my thoughts in an hour or so.
An old Erinmore smoker I know mixes the newer stuff with GH's #7 broken flake. He reckons it brings it a bit closer to the Erinmore of old.

Sutliff’s Blend No. 5 in a Peterson’s Rocky Donegal Bent Bulldog.. And for those who have been watching the weather, here in Connecticut it made it up to 71º on Wednesday, and then a snowstorm started at 1 am on Friday, depositing 6 inches. And the temperature has been inching steadily upward, and now sits at 42º, with higher temps expected.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of Tinder Box Mayor Pete in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer billiard with a black ferrule and vulcanite stem in the military mount style. I sure have gotten my $5.95 worth out of this pipe since I bought it 47 years ago.

@simong I would have liked one each of the Hardcastle clay pipes but I can't afford the full set in one go...
I'll have to slice up a bit of Cannon Plug, put the Redcoat on and fire up one of my new clay pipes for an authentic 17th century smoke ☁️.
Been to a live music gig at a local pub, had a couple of pints of Landlord and smoked some Plumcake in the clay pipe.
Going to make a loaf of bread ? tomorrow.
