I'm used to the 3 layer method. The frank worked well with ribbon cut though. Sometimes I don't even think about it and just pack the pipe and go. Fun to try different stuff.

Agreed, I’ve been using this Baron’s Pipe Filler that I got on eBay last week, I got it more out of curiosity than anything else but it does work providing the diameter of the bowl is appropriate.

Used to! But I've gotten used to intermittent fasting -- so around noon I'll be set to eat. Oh! It's around noon, now. Sometimes the pipes and coffee help make it through the final hour or so (16 hours in between last night's meal and today's first). Enjoy your Friday!

Had my first taste of Bengal Slices in a Peterson 302. On opening the tin I smelled the anise, a spice I abhor, and thought “Why didn’t I read some reviews?!”. I took the plunge and loved it. Anise is not for eating, it’s for smoking. Who knew?View attachment 129272

A month in the jar makes a huge difference with BS, if you’re liking it now you’re gonna love it come April. I also recommend trying H&H Fusiliers Ration and F&K Lancer Slices (bulk only when it’s available) is an incredible blend imo.
