Good day, everyone. Hope you are well. As it's the holiday season and I'm feeling a bit sentimental, I would like to thank you for welcoming me into this community. I look forward to checking in to see what you're smoking - and what you're up to - every day.

4th Generation 1957 in an Old German Clay Basic Briar churchwarden. Had to set the pipe aside for a while, to jar up all the tins that (local friend) Matt The Generous has given me, and to get a beef roast cooking in a cast iron Dutch oven. Between the tobacco and the roast, the house smells nice.

Tobacco really needed more drying time than the 1/2 hour I allowed; learning new things.

Reading Susan Cooper's "The Dark Is Rising" in real time during this holiday (chapters on the days that they would have taken place.) Have never read it before. Glad I didn't read it when I was a kid, because I would have been terrified.

Audiobook is "The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle" and it is bizarre and captivating; like Groundhog Day, but if one inhabited different people, while trying to prevent a murder/solve the crime of one. Unique premise.

Nowhere to be today, so should probably update our RPG chronicles before we play again. Should get in some woodshedding with the instruments as well.

Daisy and Milo wish you Happy Holidays!

Enjoyed a Jethro Bodine size bowl of Raisin Bran with extra raisins thrown in, unsalted peanuts, and a golden delicious apple lunch. I'm smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy, neat, is my drink.

Somehow, it's just how I've always pictured you, Jim. 😄

Next thing, you'll be telling us about your brain surgeon career and your double-naught spy skills.

Sitting here contemplating what Father Christmas will bring this year.

My guess is that it will most likely be a lump of coal, which is what this '80s Nording Danish Plateaux freehand reminds me of. I currently have it filled with Two Friends Deacon's Downfall from 2010.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Sutliff Crumble Cake Barrel Aged No. 1 in a Tinksy acorn.

This is the last bowl from a tin I opened 18 months ago. There’s still the tiniest remnant of the apple brandy barrel on the retrohale, but more of the wood than the apple. This was a really enjoyable Virginia. My remaining tins are pushing 6 years old, and I won’t wait too long to open a “fresh” one.

Gatlinburg was mild and in 30’s to 60’s the last few days. This morning the closer you got to the Virginia line the temps started dropping hard and raining but now the same temp system here in Richmond through Thursday that East Tennessee had. I’ll take it though over the last couple of weeks of snow and temps in the teens😂
I would’ve been willing to meet you between Knoxville and Murfreesboro to take that 55 off your hands😜🤪😝
That's what I admire about you the most, Paul. Always willing to make sacrifices for the betterment of others. :ROFLMAO:
