I like that blend. Have some stashed somewhere.I have a friend in Clarksville whose family has made sausage for 130 years on their farm. I always get several sticks for Christmas gifts. Drove up this morning for a few.
Trying some G L Pease Barbary Coast in a Bones bent. It sounded pretty good so I ordered a tin. It's a BurVaPer with a slight Brandy topping. Quite nice for a change of pace. The Brandy is present but not strong. Burley is in forefront and a nic hit will slip up on you if you pound it hard.

I love that castle Meer. Although I'll admit, upon first glance, the images in my head were of Eskimos and Igloos. But now I see that "castle turret" is clearly apropos.Back home from Mom's last night, but I have to turn around and go back down to her house on Christmas day.
Enjoying a brief respite from road travel with a generous helping of Hearth & Home Fusilier's Ration in my favorite vintage un-marked meerschaum.
Wish I knew more about the pipe itself, but It was an Ebay estate purchase 20 years ago. No markings on it whatsoever. It's a great smoker though, and what's cooler than an Oom Paul-ish castle turret carved in solid-block meerschaum with a faux tortoise lucite stem?

Gatlinburg was mild and in 30’s to 60’s the last few days. This morning the closer you got to the Virginia line the temps started dropping hard and raining but now the same temp system here in Richmond through Thursday that East Tennessee had. I’ll take it though over the last couple of weeks of snow and temps in the teensPaul, was it mild weather during the C ball run?
