Royal Yacht in a Trypis bent acorn. It's starting to dawn on me that I might not like straight Virginia.
I picked up horrible habits smoking codger burleys in corn cobs when I started pipe smoking. out of control freighttraining so when I first tried Virginias I absolutely didn't get them. been coming around to them this year. heck no harm in leaving them in the jar aging to revisit in the future, ya never know

This one is good. I don’t have near enough experience with the dark fired blends to give you a good comparison. But from what I’ve had so far, it has the sweet and smoky flavor but also has a tangy side to it. I’m enjoying it well enough on its own, however this is the first tobacco I have smoked and thought it may work well with others.
I love a lot of the birds of feather and pipe force releases, all of them are good and as smokable as Chenet’s cake, I love the stoved aspect and the rustica in pipe force. He is one of the best living blenders, imo. He’s had some pretty bad health scares over the past few years, so let’s hope he sticks around. He should start his own company.

That's generally what I do with blends, but in the case of straight VA's, I've been coming back to them for 6 years at this point and could probably count the number of enjoyable smokes on one hand.

I’m going to try the second of the four pipes I got from China a little while back. The four of them cost a total of $10.78, including shipping—that’s just $2.695 per pipe. I bought them for the brand name alone, which I still find very amusing.

Going to have Sutliff Blenders Collection Per G. Jensen Aromatic #4 in a Pedestrian Corn Cob with bent, pebble finish, filtered, plastic amber stem (I opted not to use the paper filter, and instead inserted a Savinelli 6mm adapter) while I watch more of the 2024/2025 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.

Gotta love the fancy packaging!

I tried cobs like that, no luck (burned). I made a couple myself (from eatable corn), no luck also - burned.
Only MM works for me till now...

Smoking a mix of mixtures, randomly put in the "Mystery Jar" to "blend and mature" together there. In a George Leoussis pipe.
A pipe friend decided to drastically reduce smoking and move to just a few cigars per week, so he sells his pipe collection. I already got a Falcon and a Canasta from him. Today I got a Peterson Derry, lightly used. He offered me as a bonus/gift a simple stand and enough Scottish Cake.
Be well good people!
