Boxing Day early afternoon smoke. No morning smoke. Slept in 'till 11 am :ROFLMAO:

Just finished the BEST smoke I've ever had in a Falcon.

Bantam bowl finally completely broken in. Tobacco perfectly suited pipe - taste, burning rate and length (35 minutes) were all grand! So was the music I was listening to: Tchaikovsy's "Cappricio Italian" and Mussorkski''s "Night on a Bald Moutnain" in an absolutely dynamite recording by Mata and the Dallas Symphony, a truly great orchestra. Tobacco was "Traditional English" by TobaccoBarn.

So the bowl and tobacco will stay together, but I'll also smoke other Englishes in the bowl as well. As I have about 12 ounces of Traditional English, though, and only a few ounces of other mild Englishes, there won't be any crossover to worry about! Looking forward to what the PM will bring. Undecided yet.

Festivities are finished, guests have left for home. I am now relaxing with a bowl of Troutstream in my smooth rhodesian Brigham, andView attachment 358675 reading the forum. Happy birthday @BenMN!
Great pipe and tamper combination . . . I have the entry level Brigham Rhodesian and love it!

Wifey smartly decided to take advantage of the wet conditions over Xmas to trim mustang's slightly-more-pliable-than-normal hooves. I of course was the farrier's assistant, for which I chose pre-dried Drew Estate 7th Ave. Blonde in a MM Dagner Poker. 9/10

Bird report: Dark-eyed junco, California scrub-jay, White-crowned sparrow, California towhee, American crow, Red-tailed hawk (getting harassed by the crows), Hairy woodpecker, Northern flicker, House finch, Spotted towhee, California quail, Oak titmouse, White-breasted nuthatch, and Mountain chickadee.
