The bamboo stem on my Kiseru has coloured but it’s unlined and relatively thin.
I’d imagine any bamboo could color over time as can briar but all my bamboo are lined with metal tube, I think I wouldn’t trust it without the lining and it might color much faster that without it? Just a guess.

Gave up trying to sleep, so I got up and fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, and I'm smoking pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Damn! What time is dinner!?
Haha, full disclosure for you ....... I knew I forgot something when I put the pheasant roll in the oven and way too late realized I'd forgotten the egg wash! So, it turned out very tasty but not the golden, shellac finish - just not worthy, lol. As my daughter said, "you've made so many great meals over the years at Christmas, it's okay if one isn't." :) Of course, she didn't quite mean it the way it came out, but I enjoyed giving her a hard time about it every time she took a bite and told me how good it tasted. Love the holidays for kitchen/dinners/music/you name it - hope all here have a wonderful Christmas Eve day and evening! 🎄🎄🎄:)🙏
