Possibly a replacement stem, they're quite proud of those brass dots. Unusually short shank for a 514.

Here's another 514 vulcanite ferrule mount Punto Oro. Looks so unusual with that reduced shank.

Yes, I have suspected it could be a replacement stem (and mentioned it the last time I posted smoking this pipe). I have seen Savinelli military mount Punto Oros without dots, but, those could be replacements as well. I guess it gives me one more thing to track down.

A third of a bowl left of 1970s Philip Morris Revelation in a 1920s-30s Grant’s Pipe Shop Corinthian Deluxe 409 (made by Comoy’s) smooth brown medium bend bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

About a quarter of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum. Just fed the ferals, and Suzy. Molly's snoozin' with m'lady.

First time enjoying a bowl since our daughter (first child) was born this past Sunday. 1792 flake in a cob as I’m doing some yard work.View attachment 187980
About 3 years ago, my daughter and only child was born. Having grown up in a small family, this was the first baby I'd interacted with since my sister's birth about 32 years before. I was worried and anxious. After all, how could I raise a baby, let alone a girl?

Well, my life changed instantaneously. I learned to change diapers and prepare bottles. I watched my daughter wake each day to experience something new. And I grew both personally and professionally. I became a father.

Daughters are fun and the clothes are more interesting than the male counterparts. The smiles and laughs are angelic. The random "I love you, Daddy" will melt your heart and no one else will tell you that the same way.

Of course it isn't always easy and some days you want to throw them out the window. But daughters are a true blessing. Enjoy every moment because they do grow up much faster than you'd ever think. Cheers!
