Xmas music and contemplating final holiday prep - first a 1919 Elstone Barnsley bulldog with some 2015 GL Pease Sixpence. Picked up the set from @paulfg and thought it a “Scroogy” combination (although post - Edwardian vs. Victorian). Purchased the tobacco from @hoosierpipeguy - more of an earthy KC and molasses bbq than the ketchup note of Christmas Cheer and definitely different from any current out of the tin Virginia, enjoying as I type and glad I got the giant tin, lol. Afterward to avoid another post, some Mac Baren Vanilla Cream in a Doug Finlay chubby apple. Merry one week to Christmas and Happy Holidays! View attachment 188063View attachment 188064
And here I am contemplating the initial holiday prep...LOL

The "chubby apple" is a beauty.

After seeing so many here enjoy their cigars, I had to wonder what I might be missing. So I bought a small tin of H Upmann 1844 Reserve apertifs. Got them yesterday, tried one today. Ummm-no. Did not care for it, at all. Will give them to my nephew. He smokes them ol cigarettes, and might like these. Live and learn. Back to my pipe. To each his (or her) own, yes? Good day all.

Wifey's b-day today, so I feel obligated to be kind in the room note department. Preparing a bowl of Ashton Winding Road for my Savinelli Tortuga 614 faux-Hungarian. Shaping up to be a nice day, full of Scrabble (hopefully I won't get my ass kicked too badly), good food, and lots of alcohol, of course! Hope everyone has a lovely day.
