Just finished a bowl of Sutliff ERR Match in my cob, that I had started yesterday. Still breezy and cool today, but tolerably so. As much as I like the idea of cube cuts, I think I'll rub this out next time I smoke it. I've just had the darnedest time keeping it lit for very long, and I need a break while I work on my technique. puffy

Moving on to McClelland Yenidje Supreme in my "English" cob. I've been smoking it exclusively in this pipe in an attempt to "season" it and really get as full of an experience from this precious sample as I can.

Molto Dolce in a GL (George Leousis) pipe.
I read a nice poem, 2 days before, by the Greek poet Christos Laskaris (1931 - 2008). It is somehow related to our "subject", so I place it here, below (the translation is mine). Have a good weekend good people and may the Lord rest the soul of our fellow member who departed for another, for a better world...

ROOM FOR ONE

A lonely room
his days -
a single bed
and a nightstand
and the chair
where he places his clothes.

Van Gogh on the wall
- calm -
with his bandaged ear
and his pipe.
