I like to maintain as few open jars as possible, ideally just three or four genres at a time. I think it comes from a desire for simplicity, ease of choosing what I'm going to smoke next, and maybe a little paranoia about something precious drying out from being open too long.

But last night I developed a hankering for some straight Virginia, and none of my eight(!) open jars
I just counted my jars (2 oz, 4 oz and 8oz ball) and I am somewhat ashamed to say I have 78!!!! Most of these are 1-2oz samplers from Watch City, TCS, Boswells and Wilke. Some Lane and PS bulk I bought samples of when I started. I think I only have 7 actual tins open at the moment but still I must admit it is difficult to choose some times. With the samplers I am definitely finding a handful of favorites that I am stocking up on (Boswells Northwoods, Countryside and Raspberry Cream, WCC Rouxgarou, Viral Vanilla, Wilke Lizzies Blood Red English, TCS Rivendell etc). Most of the samples I will likely never smoke again once gone or I will gift/sell them. My TAD is most severe. :(

78, wow! I hope my post didn't sound judgy of folks who have lots of jars going -- I'm somewhat envious, if anything. ;)

Perhaps I should loosen up a bit and crack open more of those tins I've been waiting to try... 😁

But last night I developed a hankering for some straight Virginia, and none of my eight(!) open jars happened to be that, so I decided to tuck into the SG Full Virginia Flake that I had just jarred up from the recent drop:
Consulting the pivot table in my tobacco inventory spreadsheet, it tells me I have 21 tobaccos (tins, samples, blends) "open" across 10 types (eg. VaPer, VaBur, Virginias, Aromatics, Burleys, English, etc.). Yikes! I gotta seal some of these up, dial in and get SMOKING! :sher:
