Sutliff 707 Sweet Virginia in a Kaywoodie Rhodesian from 2020
Geoff at Cambridge pipes is a great guy and can work his magic on any pipe, he was incredibly generous to me and actually gave me a Ornsby Pipe that he renovated especially for me just because he knew I was a fan of them. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone that’s looking to spruce up a pipe or give it a complete overhaul as he did with a Barling pick-axe I sent him. He’s a true gentleman in every sense of the word.About to load up this pre 50s Orlik corona with some semois. It arrived this morning from Geoff at Cambridge Pipe Repairs. Always a nice surprise when an estate can go straight from the box into the rotation View attachment 114977

That makes total sense Jim, I guess it’d be like trying to turn your lawnmower into a Ferrari.Because a couple of key sources they used are no longer accessible. The best anybody can make is inferior copies, and all that will happen then is a bunch of whiners complaining that they aren't as good as the originals. Not to mention the fear of the FDA rules, and the high cost of equivalency tests companies would have to pay to do it.
I can understand that, terrible shame though. I just count myself lucky that I got to try some of their wares before it disappeared into the ether. No access to the recipes or knowledge of the processes has been shared. The McNiel's didn't want the McClelland name or legacy bastardized by inferior materials or corner cutting.
Savinelli Caramella, is one of the best looking pipes out there.Morning all. Smoking some Presbyterian from my little Savinelli Caramella 106.

Welcome to the Forum Carol on your first day, you’ll find a great bunch of folks here who are always ready to help in any way they can.Smoking some of my personal aromatic blends. 50/50 Troutstream/Lane1Q. The only one I smoke in the house. It's too cold and windy outside for a pipe. Using a MM Huck Finn Cob
I love their stuff! Enjoy.Just finished jarring 5 lbs of different C&D, one of which is Briar Fox. Smoking my first bowl of it in a Peterson Aran rusticated Canadian. This stuff is fantastic!
