Oh, yes. It'll do even better if you gently lift the plastic seal, take what you want, keep tobacco off the rim, and firmly replace the seal before putting the lid back on. Those tubs will keep the tobacco fresh for years. You may have noticed I've been smoking circa year 2000 EGR these days. I take some out, put in a regular EGR tin, and keep the tub sealed until I need more. The tobacco is fresh and moist as the day it was manufactured.

You can do this with the H&H Mid-Town series blends, too.

@Jim...Should anything like this be done with Granger and SWRA? I’ve started smoking this recently but it’s worked in my rotation and not my main tobacco. I usually fill a mason jar for easy access and storage. Should I do a layer of plastic wrap and then store till I need more?

For my evening finale:
Boswell Jumbo Supreme Natural bent egg with maroon pearlized stem.
Smoking some Samual Gawith Full Virginia Flake, gently broken and folded, topped with a bit of rubbed out flake. Maybe 10 minutes of dry time/prep time as it is out of a jar with a year of age. To all a good night and may peace be with you!View attachment 55953View attachment 55954
I enjoyed the Full Virginia Flake I got from @tozert in my clay pipes!

Now Smoking: John Middleton Co.'s: 'Carter Hall'; out of a very "well-loved" and damn near abused MM: 'LEGEND' , straight stem - where the formerly amber-yellow stem looks like darker-than-dried-blood-red burgundy.

Was thinking it might be time to retire this old friend soon.... Nah! - Sherm Natman
Don’t retire it. Let it reinvent itself like everyone else does. It can choose to be a Dunhill!
