Thanks. I just picked it up from a new carver at the Columbus pipe show. That’s a pretty good looking pipe you have there also.

Thanks. Its actually a Ser Jacopo second and it was an estate. Someone had botched a repair on it...probably took out a scratch and they sanded out color. Aside from being uneven I thought the color hid the incredible birdseye. So I stripped it down to wood, did a contrast stain and shined it up. Its one of my favorite pipes. It doesnt matter to me that its a second (one tiny fill). Its not gonna ever get sold.
