Posts like this are why I read nearly everything in this insanely long thread. Your theory would explain why nearly no one (certainly not home blenders) have been able to reproduce RY successfully, as we don’t have access to actual perique juice. It would be quite interesting to see if you’re right, but we’ll likely never know due to trade secrets….Having had some time to ponder the matter, I'm guessing a portion of the flavoring added to Royal Yacht may be the juice from Perique barrels. Royal Yacht certainly tastes like a VaPer even though there's not supposed to be any Perique in it, and it gives me a sore throat in the same manner that a VaPer would, so I'm guessing Dunhill (and now Peterson) found a clever way to put the juice from their Perique barrels to use as a flavoring element in Royal Yacht. I could be wrong, but that's the best explanation I've got for why it tastes like a VaPer and my body is reacting to it like it's a VaPer even though it should be a pure Virginia.
Looks like the Creature from Super 8 got ahold of it ! Dry rot ?PSA. I figured I'd reach more people in WAYS. I was checking my tire pressures and I always do the spare and found this. Check your spare tires folks.View attachment 330616View attachment 330617
I like your taste in tobacco, pipes, and music. Thanks! It was a Father’s Day gift from my late son’s fiancé.
Here it is again with a bowl of H&H El Niño in a Peterson SH Rathbone PSB. Enjoying it with a cup of black coffee, listening to Ray LaMontagne Long Way Home.
