It’s been a heck of a week. Last night after work I had my first bowl of Peterson Sherlock Holmes. I want getting much from it. I’ll sit with it a while over the coming days/weeks and see if it presents more. This morning was a 2 coffee 2 pipe kind of morning. I had a bowl of Boswell’s Piper’s Pleasure and a bowl of Cult Blood Red Moon. After that I couldn’t justify procrastinating longer, and headed to work.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a third of the way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Going to post my Sutliff Silver Quarter 175th Anniversary Blend soon.

I knew I was going to have a more-than-one bowl day when I started the morning off with an unfiltered Lucky Strike with my first cup of coffee … while loading a bowl of my staple 60/40 mix of Peter Stokkebye Amsterdam 83/PS Turkish 84 into a Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman for the morning stroll. Right now, it’s Dunhill Flake of undetermined purchase year that I long ago jarred in a sanitized preserves jar (I stopped doing this with jam jars over fifteen years ago), and ended up transferring into a proper Ball jar in 2022. The STG/Dunhill topping has long since dissipated, but it’s all Virginia now …

… and it’s gotten pretty dark and sweet over time. Sometimes even my own sloppiness can’t ruin a good flake. Enjoying it in a Vauen Pure Smooth 1209 straight pot with some iced coffee.

Did a second set of walking reps, spent some time chatting with a neighbor, and smoked a bowl of year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in an undated slight bend, smooth flame grain Wessex Standard egg with a brown accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem.
