UK Customs got their greedy hands on it and I had to pay duty. I returned four tins of MacBaren that they tried to charge me £128 for, the figures are crazy, make no sense and are just pulled out of some Customs staff ass.

I’m thinking about buying some of that blend. The high Perique content piqued my interest.
How do you like it?

It’s good, not nearly as strong as you might think. Solid medium in that category. Perique leads the way of course but the VAs start to assert themselves in the second third of the bowl and firm up in the bottom third. Gets smoother, sweeter, rounder as you smoke down the bowl. This level of perique leaves the usual stewed fruit vs spice question aside, it’s neither. More earthy, mushroomy, barnyardy. It’s a very moist blend, I dried it for 40 minutes and that wasn’t enough- I’ll do an hour and a half next time.

My buddy runs an estate business and sometimes I get lucky. This pipe is actually hard to photograph. I can't accurately capture the color or detail of the blast via photo. It's really a fantastic little pipe in person
