Trying some Rattray’s Dark Fragrant for the first time in a bent bulldog. Not bad. A simple cavendish heavy blend. Pleasant.

Part way through this bowl of Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite.
Briar Fox in a Rossi Billiard. I'm trying to like this blend.
Late post: Started with a tryout of KBV Acadian Flek in a MM Cob (not bad, but missing much of the flavor profile I get with good briar). Followed with Florida storm prep accompanied by a bowl of KBV Red Line in a Tilshead Semibent with tapered stem. Wonderful smoke; fingers crossed with the prep.
I so enjoyed last night's smoke of Angler's Dream from Pipes & Cigar that I loaded more in my Peterson System Spigot 317 rusticated for this evening's smoke.
Passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2020 D&R Raccoon’s Friend in a pre-1980s straight dark brown Comoy's Sandblast 186 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Just fed the ferals, and Sleepy Suzy. Molly took a page out of her sister's book and is snoozing.
It is a brand new Ravenwood release, 2023.
I'm at my Son's here in Sarasota, he's another couple of miles inland from our house. My granddaughter kept asking me to spend the night so that was an invitation I could hardly refuse. Looks like the hurricane is going to pass us by here with minimal impact. I pray for the people up North though, looks like the storm surge could be devastating. Enjoying some Vauen No 14 in an Alden.
Did some snacking, and am smoking Wilke Surbrug’s Crystal Palace in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2 LHS Certified Purex 79 bulldog with a nickel ferrule and tenon with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Lancer’s Slices and Ampersand Flake twisted together in the 6 panel bent lattice meer, and some water
Cobblestone Virginia Plug in a Eltang Basic. It’s not a plug that’s for sure, crumble cake like but larger sections of leaf than you find in Sutliff. Smells ok out of the tin and I’d say red virginias are the mainstay.
A minute or two away from smoking Wilke No. 24 in a smooth straight brown 1949 KBB Yello-Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem.
Passing the quarter mark on this bowl of D&R Penhooker in a 1990 straight dark brown Commemorative reproduction of the 1890 Peterson Patent System 12393 stack billiard with a silver band and a bowed black acrylic 32 AB long stem p-lip.
@Kobold Nice pipe - I love relief moulded clays; @Birddog66 has sent me a few. Good tobacco choice for a clay and I love the woodturned bowl. I've got a few in my medieval themed home; they really go well with my theming!
Finished work for the day, fed the ferals again, and am smoking well aged 4Noggins Bald Headed Teacher in a medium brown, smooth octagonal paneled bowl and shank, medium bend 2016 Tim West Book Keeper 6 with a black acrylic saddle stem. It's 50-50 whether or not I end the day with this smoke.
The hurricane reminded me to polish up the sterling on this wind screened Brebbia. It'll be my companion on today's morning commute, filled with Balkan Supreme.
