Now smoking Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked.

Sitting on the back porch with the wife watching the sun go down, listening to some music and sipping iced tea from mason jars.

She's smoking a 50/50 mixture of Boswell's Cherry Smash & Cult Blood Red Moon in a floral meershaum. (She calls this her Very Cherry blend)

I'm enjoying a bowl of University Flake in a Peterson XL02 rusticated Emerald P-lip.

Evening pipe: C&D Night Train in my grand canyon sized bowl. Second time having Night Train and I may be a bit smitten. It was still a little wet when I started it, so a bit more relights than I am used to. However, once it was going...blissful. I think the vitamin N in that just makes me tired. So far (knock on wood), I have not had one of these really bite me. Definitely mellow now, though. :)

A third of the way through this bowl of 7-20-4 Boston Tea Party (Briary Blends) in a 1980s SMS eagle claw egg medium bend meerschaum signed by J. Boglon with a brown and cream swirl acrylic stem. Working on a review of this blend, which is Basma and Izmir forward with a fair amount of white and dark burleys as well as some red and gold Virginias.

Have to admit I was scrolling backwards and didn’t expect @JimInks to pop up when I saw the pipe! ? Was the choice related to the blend?

I’ve been smoking the new 2022 Burley London Blend now for about a week. When I first opened it I was slightly disappointed as I found it to be heavily topped with chocolate. The chocolate topping substantially dissipated in a matter of 2-3 days, completely changing the flavor profile (I’m smoking it out of the tin and not jarring it). It’s now a blend that I’m enjoying and I am just astonished at how swiftly and significantly that chocolate topping dissipated. I’m happy! BB1C919C-E982-4F96-97CA-658A648FF7BD.jpeg
