My day has gotten off to a great start because a dear friend of mine sent me a pound of Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake. Going to smoke it soon.
Smoking some delicious Persian slipper in a chunky Peterson estate while doom scrolling and hoping against hope that our cabin in the Sierras doesn’t go up in flames. I’ve enjoyed many smokes up there on the deck over looking the American River.

First time smoking G&H Scotch Flake in an old cob. The bag note is a nauseating melange of Nestle Quick & rotten flowers. Thankfully NONE of that comes through in the smoke. It's actually a pleasant smoke!
Finished my packet of Limerick Flake today; I will re-use the empty packet for wrapping one of my clay pipes.

New roof going on past two days, not many quiet reflective smokes. Now having a bowl of Irish Dew in a Peterson XL02, as I listen to nail guns. Just glad it’s getting done, storms coming!
The series should be a good one. Both teams are playing well, though both teams' pitching staffs have flaws. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. I remember 1993 well. Fred McGriff joined the Braves and made a big impact on them.

It's a tad warm in LA today, so a bowl of Tobacco Trader Bright Virginia in a Savinelli rusticated Canadian. Managed to sneak in a surf this morning, as well. Am supposed to receive a shipment from smokingpipes today -- a mess of aromatics, just to see how my palate has changed, and a simple Briar Works pipe to dedicate to them.
There's an off chance I'll get down to Orange County tomorrow and the Tinder Box at South Coast Plaza.
