Up next is one of my favorites. Wish I had a lot more. Peterson Sherlock Holmes (original recipe) in the Wojtek Pastuch blasted billiard.

This got me thinking about the various materials that smoking pipes were made of apart from wood and even though wood is clearly the most practical and durable of materials for consuming tobacco looking across my racks there are many other materials that have been used from which to make pipes:-
One-piece Briar / Briar / Briar with meerschaum lined bowls / Leather covered briar
Rosewood
Beechwood
Cherrywood
Bog-oak
etc.

In the Meerschaum motif, packed for later, Dunhill Durbar, a now discontinued Virginia based blend, with Lat and Orientals, "for the experienced smoker," in the straight billiard Meerschaum with wine grape etchings on the bowl, given me by the late great fish'n'banjo, for which I sent him some of his favorite Escudo in thanks.
Today's been ruddy freezing and even tried to snow. Now settling in for the night with my favourite 'treats'. Coffee, chocolate,whisky and a Falcon bowl of Condor.
