Had some of that 60/40 PS Amsterdam/Turkish mix loaded into the same MM Legend from earlier. Boy, was that a good after supper smoke! Then I got to cutting up something for before bedtime ...

That’s Peterson Perfect Plug, alright. After an aggressive rubbing out and some dry time, I loaded up a Stanwell Deluxe (Smooth) 86. I’m Just about to pre-light before heading out for a short stroll.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Have enough for one more bowl, and then I'll decide what to smoke in this pipe. I hate that in a way because all I have smoked in this pipe is Dunbar. Phone chatting with the fella who gifted me the pipe.

Did a little more snacking, and my last smoke of the day is D&R Penhooker Silver in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Funny, but I smoke this pipe more now at anytime in the last 40 years. It serves a purpose as a short smoke fairly well.
