Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. I let Harry the Hairy out, and Abner the Eager was waiting by the door. I picked him up and brought him in to eat, but he barely did. He just wanted to be with us. He's snoozin' now.

GL Pease Penny Farthing in an IMP Meer.

You have good taste, my friend. ;)

After a nice (albeit, late) baby back rib and lamb chop dinner from the smoker with a couple glasses of Vacqueyras from the beloved Rhone valley, i'm ready for a full-bodied smoke while all this settles in. A chunky bowl of Maestro Puccini in a Carlo Scotti-era Castello Sea Rock Briar G fits the bill here.

Did some low calorie snacking, and am a third of the way through this bowl of first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar family era Barling’s Make Billiard 6 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. The stampings suggest 1930s, but the “6” is a previously unknown stamp number and placement. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and went back out. Tomato didn't want the same kind of wet food that he enjoyed before, so he settled, a tad unhappy, for dry food. He's getting more picky these days just as his sister Daisy.

Just had my first experience with DFA last week. I love it, I have some more drying and I'll be intentional in picking out flavors to compare with your take.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the Dark Flake Aromatic too, and I'll be really interested to find out what you think the topping menagerie tastes like! Just like 1792 Flake is a blend I always associate with summertime due to the way the sweet vanilla'y tonquin topping works with the dark fired Virginias to create a flavor that reminds me of summertime cookouts and the aroma of fireworks, Dark Flake Aromatic always reminds me of the winter with the whole fireplace plus pine and cedar flavors I get from it. My "any time, any weather" blends at this point are Kendal Dark and Five Brothers.

Speaking of which, tonight I just finished a pipe of Peterson Irish Flake a short while ago but it was a touch light and too heavy on the bright Virginias for my taste; so now I'm having some Kendal Dark in this little Morgan Bones Milan. puffy

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and have a little more than a quarter of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Just fed Sleepy Suzy, who's been by my side all evening. Fed Molly Danger a little earlier.
