Still have a few box scores to read, so my last smoke of the day is year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a straight smooth brown 1950s Comoy’s Tradition 305 apple military mount with a sterling silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Tomato the Brave is by my side.

Half and Half in a high condition Marxman carved square panel Mell-o.

Even a $3.50 Mell-o was a luxury pipe in a world full of dollar pipes. It was the same price as the Kaywoodie Drinkless.



This one is extensively hand carved, and lookie at the huge fill! Whatever filler used darkened (but not exactly) along with the rest of the pipe. In the hand the fills are not as noticeable. They smoke as well as the higher grades, I think.

Just fed the ferals except for the absent Abner the Eager. M'lady has the tracker, and noticed that he spent two hours at one place down the street earlier. Maybe that's his home or maybe they feed him like we do, too?

It’s kind of funny to think that hundreds (if not thousands) of people around the world know that particular cat as “Abner the Eager” via various pipe forums, yet at a place he might actually live down the street from you, he’s known to a handful of people by another name.

Got the Savinelli Tortuga 106. Smoking a mixture of Bayou Morning mixed with OJK Blue. I've been mixing these two together a lot lately, I just really been enjoying it a lot. Hurt my back yesterday so took the day off. Sitting in the backyard watching my boys play. Weather's just perfect.
