Commute was GH&Co Kendal#7/Brown Twist Sliced in the Briarlee Illustrious.

Now I just finished one of my early concoctions: Haunted Barbados (with you would be correct in assuming a mix of Haunted Bookshop and Barbados Plantation) in a Ropp J11P.View attachment 384685
Watching the senior guy on my crew doing a masterful job of still training a couple guys how to do something they should’ve been fully competent at 11 months ago. At this point, if I open my mouth then “grown men” will be getting me dragged to HR for hurting their feelings by expecting standards be met🤨

The pipe must help! At least you can smoke on the job.

Now smoking year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a 1982 smooth straight Sasieni Ivory 105 Apple with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was my first Sasieni. Bought it at my local Tinderbox for $9.95. Going to finish cleaning pipes that I smoked, and then get back to the estate pipes. Two are currently undergoing the S&A treatment. Another that did is ready for me to empty the bowl and scrub. Two more are being bowl reamed. The cake on them is thick and hard, so I'm taking my time with them. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Velvet in an unstained, unvarnished and unpainted Bertram made out of aged oil cured Algerian briar by crippled soldiers, under the shadow of the Capitol dome in the District of Columbia!

Today we don’t see much respect for disabled veterans.

But a half mile South of Bug Tussle they sang ballads about them, years ago.

Founding Fathers in a Stanwell 139. This pipe is mostly dedicated to John Aylesbury Dragon Flake, but I didn't care yesterday, and after the day I've had today I don't care. It's late. I grabbed the pipe closest to me and the blend closest to me. Light the trusty Zippo, take a satisfying draw, all is again right in the world. 1000000747.jpg

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am a third of the way through this bowl of first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar family era Barling’s Make Billiard 6 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. The stampings suggest 1930s, but the “6” is a previously unknown stamp number and placement. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Did enough cleaning today so all I'll do is unload the dishwasher.

Almost half way through this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Have a few bowls left in the bag, but I have lots more of this blend.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2008 Astley’s No. 109 Medium Flake in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LBS Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Have enough left for a bowl or so. Reading baseball box scores, and I may end the day with this smoke.

Got a big surprise a few minutes ago when I opened the door to let Harry the Hairy and Tomato the Brave in. There was a dead bird on the door mat. It wasn't there a couple of hours ago. Daisy the Feral Princess was outside until ten minutes or so before I let the others inside. I've no idea which one did it.
