Wrapped up some final ranch chores with a bowl of Mac Baren Symphony in a Savinelli Porto Cervo 122 rusticated pot. Just when I thought I was done buying... :ROFLMAO: ...I'd better snag a pound of this before it gets put out to pasture. Speaking of which, the mustang's pen is drying nicely. I can finally put the mudboots away! 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Golden-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, House finch, California towhee, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, American crow, Band-tailed pigeon, Northern flicker, Mountain chickadee, White-breasted nuthatch, California quail, Hairy woodpecker, and Spotted towhee.

Looking forward to watching a well-timed episode of The Peter Schiff Show tonight. Highly recommend! And not just because I'm a holder of his gold mutual fund.

First pipe of the day, wife and son are sick so they stayed home while I went to work and took the baby to my parent's house for the day. The baby is finally asleep so I decided to relax with a delightful Guinness and try a new (to me) blend from my latest haul from GH&Co, Kendal #7. Many here seem to enjoy this blend, and I can absolutely see why!

Afterwards, I loaded up my Bent Hunter Falcon with a chimney meer with C&D Pegasus to finish off the rest of my Guinness.

On a side note, I've learned so much more about the hobby in the 6 or so months I've been here than in the entire year I spent piping beforehand. Just wanted to say thanks everyone!

Over time the Savinelli 122 has become my favorite overall pipe. So many blends just taste better to me in that bowl. I'm sure you're gonna love it!
For sure. It's fantastic for burleys and VaBurs, with that nice wide chamber. Fell in love with it on sight too! One of three Savs I have, and they're all excellent smokers.
