A couple of pre-STG Made in Denmark Stanwells today.
Ist is a plateau-topped freehand with a chair-leg stem which I bought in the mid-70s. It was so different to all the pipes I’d seen to that point.

Nice little knife there, Oz. Is your Opinel a dedicated tobacco knife?
My EDC is an Opinel carbon #8. A very light and practical pocket knife.

Just finished smoking year 2018 Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a straight smooth dark brown 1950s Comoy’s Deluxe apple military mount with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Fed three ferals, and watched an episode of Petrocelli.

First pipe of the day, wife and son are sick so they stayed home while I went to work and took the baby to my parent's house for the day. The baby is finally asleep so I decided to relax with a delightful Guinness and try a new (to me) blend from my latest haul from GH&Co, Kendal #7. Many here seem to enjoy this blend, and I can absolutely see why!

Afterwards, I loaded up my Bent Hunter Falcon with a chimney meer with C&D Pegasus to finish off the rest of my Guinness.

On a side note, I've learned so much more about the hobby in the 6 or so months I've been here than in the entire year I spent piping beforehand. Just wanted to say thanks everyone!
I hope your family feels better soon

Yes, my tobacco knife.
I love the simplicity of Opinels
I do wish I got the carbon steel rather than the stainless

I, too, love Opinels. I've carried a no 6 carbon for years and my wife uses an Opinel chef's knife. My eldest even has one of their child's series folding knives.

One of my favourite parts is how the end of the knife is a great tamper when shut (assuming the knife is a small enough size).

Close to finishing this bowl of first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar family era Barling’s Make Billiard 6 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. The stampings suggest 1930s, but the “6” is a previously unknown stamp number and placement. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Just let Tomato the Brave and Harry the Hairy in to eat. Daisy the Feral Princess stayed outside. We put Molly Danger in the bedroom so there'd be no problems. We're trying to get her used to being with us in the den again, but it'll take more time. At least there's been improvement. This means the ferals get less time inside at night, but we have to put Molly first.

Molly didn't snooze long in the den, but when she did, I had to take this photo.

Now smoking year 2018 Dunhill London Mixture in a brown medium bend 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a military mount and a tapered black acrylic stem. I may end the day with this smoke. Going to read baseball box scores now.

Harry the Hairy's been batting around a catnip sock, and seems to be half drunk from it. Silly fella.
