I've read SWR and Half & Half blend together very nicely so I tried that tonight. Packed the H&H in the bottom half of the bowl and packed the top half with SWR. My SWR pouch is super dry but my H&H pouch is pretty moist, by the time the SWR half was smoked the H&H was dry enough to transition smoothly. Taste wise I couldn't tell much of a difference between this concoction and either blend straight, but my palate for pipe blends isn't refined yet and I still need to smoke that gluey taste out of my cob.

Reading a few Jack Ritchie stories while the bowl lasts.

This brought a smile to my face. I don’t see Jack Ritchie’s name mentioned often these days. Do you have some of the collections of his stories (A New Leaf; The Adventures of Henry Turnbuckle; or Little Boxes of Bewilderment)?
