Ennerdale Flake in the Pollock clay yesterday. Met 2 fellow pipe smokers in Chesterfield; one of them let me have a pipeful of his mixed blend containing some Black Cherry & Condor; I think there might have been a bit of twist in it as there were some big pieces of leaf mixed in. When I photographed the clay pipe smoking re-enactors at Bolsover, Cromford & Nantwich Dad says I probably got more of the pipe than they did!

2011 McClelland Blue Mountain in a 1901 Sam McLardy & Co. Meerschaum with a vulcanite stem.

I swore I was giving up Latakia, but when @Ben.R.C said;

“Bankside, is a damn work of art.”

This caught my attention, @Ben.R.C I also just ordered a tin, let you know when it arrives, I hope I enjoy it. :)

So, I had to pull out the Blue Mountain, it had been ages since I smoked it, or any other Latakia. I figured, you can’t wrong with a McClelland blend right? LOL 😆

It’s very sweet for Latakia, quite interesting. I need to sip very slow and easy, as Lats, can really irritate the roof of my mouth.

Be well everyone! ❤️

Oh and at the time of said profile pic I was working 7 days a week for around six months straight at that time and only eating 1 big meal for dinner. But as you can see from the meer pic I am done working 7 days a week, eating 3 meals a day and own a double wide and an acre of property near a lake and waterfall (pics coming soon) at 31 years old. More then most my family can say, I'm sure some here know Nambe Falls, about a mile from there. I never stopped buying pipes and tobacco though 😆 and the hard work paid off.

@PipeIT Not a fan of Latakia myself; I don't like the smell or taste and it always seems to irritate my throat. The Clay King last smoked a clay bowl of Latakia at Nottingham pipe show last year; I think it sounds like a cheap car made in Syria before civil war broke out.
@UB 40 recommends I get a tin of Sillem's Musketeer and says it would be the perfect tobacco for the Clay King:
I love the tin art!

@Puffaluffaguss I'm not buying any more pipes this year; I've already got at least 3 or 4 boxes of clays:)
