Tuesday evening settling in smoke after a ribeye, mini sweet corn cob, a roll, and some real oj with pulp. Two new to me estates. I'm doing Blend #1 in both. Keeping my fingers crossed that I found some smokers because they're clean and in good shape...regulation in my books. So the one on the left is a Mattox Pipe Shop Eugene Oregon rig. The one on the right is a nice lovat Chancellor. Blend #1 oughtta make for a good test. Switching to Sprite and the stereo.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, giant bowl of chili and two jumbo slices of freshly made apple cinnamon raisin pie for dessert. I'll be working off these calories for several day, I'm sure. I'm half way through this bowl of year 1983 Condor Long Cut in a smooth straight 1870s Au Pacha meerschaum canted cutty with a sterling silver band and amber orific stem. It's my first smoke in this new-to-me pipe, which is now the oldest one I own. The pipe is a little darker than you see in this photo. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

This would have been the perfect post for you to write “glorious condor in a meer”. Congrats on the new pipes, this one and the old Pete apple

Yes, it sure is. I only have one clay that isn't a Markus Fohr. He makes good ones.
@Carol I've had a few Markus Fohr clay pipes and really like them. I've never had any black ones. I'll be taking my church warden when I go to the Redcoats and Revolutionaries event at Cromford Mill in May. I enjoyed getting my clay pipe lit from the forge last year and lit it with a candle ?️ from the fire at Murton Park last weekend.
