About a third of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. I'll end the day with this smoke.

I must of had a catastrophe at work to miss this, amazing work! You read the grain like a virtuoso, right shape for that beautiful flame grain. I hope that when I retire I can set up shop and do the same thing or something in woodworking.
@Zero , Thank you kindly! The grain in this briar pops for sure. It is a beautiful piece of wood that really deserved to be shaped by hands more skilled than mine. But I gave it my best shot and am happy with the results.

Linda prepared homemade vegetable soup for dinner, and a cooked chocolate pudding for dessert. After this hearty meal, I stuffed a flake of ten-year-old Full Virginia Flake into a small clay for a post prandial smoke.
As Nero Wolfe might say, "Most Satisfactory."
@dino So you're taking after me then??? I enjoyed the Full Virginia Flake in my clay pipes.

Good day all! A good day indeed, as my wife and I just climbed out of the "safe room" where we weathered the past hour and a half under three tornando warnings of the "imminent take cover" variety. Good practice for living in Florida. Celebrating the return of blue sky and bright sun by starting with Elizabethan Mixture in an Upshall P Dublin with smooth beveled rim and pencil shank with tapered stem.
