I have the same Chronicles book set (and a similar styled set of Lord of the Rings). Although I will have to look, I believe the set was my father's.

I think I may add the Chronicles to my early weekend morning "to read" list. However, I may try reading them in chronological order, of the order in which they were published - as enumerated on each book in the set).
I read them in chronological order last year and really enjoyed it.

Never made it to the Chancellor last night so it's on hold...the Mattox cutty smoked well but it is ghosted with some sour crap I'll work on it...3 estates came in today very very clean. Weber, Owl Club, and a Dulwich. Using British Imperial for the test run, Sprite the beverage, and the Stones Hot Rocks the sound track. Hump day is in the books!

Ennerdale in a Ropp Canadian.
After chopping up and re-hydrating my 2022 tin of Ennerdale (including vegitable glycerine), I think it is smoother and more flavorful moist than it was straight out of the tin, but this is still nothing like the old tins.
Of course it always was the case that the best flavor only lasted a short time after opening the tin, bulk samples never had the same oomph, so what we're getting in tins now is more like what the bulk was 10 years ago.

Before smoking this Ennerdale again I'm going to reinforce it with fresh essences.

Did a little snacking, and am smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

C&D Or L'Yom Daylight in a Don Carlos, this is a very rich tasting Oriental forward blend with a spicy Perique finish. Description indicates a morning smoke, but for me it's too rich for that. Perfect for the end of the day or afternoon if you feel like a full bodied smoke mid day. Plus it's blended by a Rabbi so also appropriate on the high holidays ?
