Finishing off my McClelland Va/Tur mix, this time with a pinch of Latakia added, in a KBB Yello Bole Imperial Panel-Pot with Bakelite stem.
A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051 Dublin with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Time for a third set of walks.
Sutliff matured and stoved VA mix in a tall birthyear (1961) Dunhill.
IRC Virginia Flake in my Soren Danish vintage 1972. Its a beautiful straight grain.
Some of the Argentine produced Virginia/Criollo blend in a Sasieni...very nice it is too.
Hey you have to show us next time where you get the good stuff from in Argentina. ?

The website says it’s Burley with Criollo, not Virginia and Criollo like yours... hmm ?

Don’t you just love em, I’ve been picking them up on eBay for the last six months on advice from an old gentleman that worked in a tobacconist in the 60 &70’s. Apparently they were sourcing the best briar available for Ropp & Choquin to carve and became the favourite pipe of Elvis and many other celebrities. I have eight now (OCD) and they’re all blinders.
