This looks really good as does the separate memoir!

Interestingly, when I Googled I came up with another book written previously with the same title, in part by Kareem Abdul Jabbar, about an American . . . tank unit! African-American outfit and looks like some of the same time period.

The movie with Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris is pretty good - yes, the story isn't 100%, but man the cool sweaters you see throughout, lol, and great scenery, suspense.

This book I've just started is really good so far and I'll get the real story.
