Bad sneakers, a pina colada, a transistor, and a large sum of money to spend. This album is a favorite (that can be said of all of them, no?), but Fagan and Becker apparently detested it because of the sound engineering. What? I can’t tell. But then again, I can smoke Red Ribbon, Balkan Sobranie, and Lane 1-Q with equal enthusiasm.
Listening to recorded music of your own choosing is one of the best parts of pipe smoking. Pipe smoking your favorite pipe and your choice of pipe tobacco is the best part of listening to music.
Crumbs. I have nearly a dozen posts of “what I’m listening to” and nothing on “what I’m smoking now”. Got to get my act together. This is a pipes forum. But it’s chucking down rain this morning. What a surprise! And it’s been breezy and windy for about two or three….let’s see….years now.
Last night I started on this huge Thelonious Monk (another tip from this Forum) boxset of 9 albums on 5 discs with a fat glass of Sazerac Rye. I couldn't quite listen to the whole lot so I'll finish them tonight with a glass of Scotch (I like to alternate my spirits).
