I stumbled upon this guy whilst researching John McLaughlin and took a punt on this CD.

Though it's called 'Slide Guitar Ragas' I don't think there is any actual guitar played here (please tell me if I'm wrong). It all sounds like sitar to me though matey is apparently well known for inventing & building his own stringed instruments.

Whatever, it's a very different style of music from what I'm used to but still very pleasant & enjoyable, especially so when the congas (?) kick in for added beat.

The first post of this month by @dino was of the Bill Evans Trio 'Portrait In Jazz'. I'd never heard of the guy but played Dino's clip twice then went onto Youtube to hear more.

That led me on to buying this whopper of a boxset (which includes the above) which is 12 albums spread over 6 discs. And all of that for less than £10 brand new & delivered!

Well it arrived earlier today and I'm already playing disc 2. Just three guys with piano, drums & bass but such lovely relaxing music, thanks so much Dino :col:.
