@blindanddirty that Heavy Machinery album is an all time favorite...it's so much more grooving and heavy than Holdsworth's other stuff (he's one of my favorite musicans, hands down) --very excellent choice!!!

I've never met someone who's heard of this album, even among other Holdsworth fans. This and Metal Fatigue are definitely my favorites my him. Sand, too, but it can be a little sterile and monotonous at times. Atavachron is obviously a classic but for me, his best playing and composition were on the aforementioned two of my favorites.
