For many years, I lived next-door to the son of Al Fiore -- the chord player of The Harmonicats.
I learned much about their history and rise to fame and fortune during the post war years in Chicago, including many fascinating facts about their breakthrough hit, "Peg O' My Heart".
I visited every vintage vinyl shop in town and amassed a complete collection of their albums, and old AL, visiting his son for a summer BBQ, was kind enough to sign them all for me!
