My beers of the week
Westvleteren
Blond, got this as a present from my old coworkers at my last day. Westvleteren has appeared on the dutch market a few months ago. As you might know Westvleteren is a monastry brewed beer which was before only available on appointment for pick-up at the brewery. A lot of people bought the max available amount and it got on the Grey market for 4 or 5x the price. Its now available for a "decent" price (between 6 and 10 euros) in specialty stores.
Funky Fluid
pastry sour with a lot of added fruit pulp. This brewery makes this style of beer in a lot of different flavors.
Ale Farm
DIPA, for a brewery which puts his total marketing as being innovative this was a totally ordinary IPA.
Hop Hooligans
double pastry stout, liquid schwarzwalder kirschtorte, loved it.
Funky Fluid west coast IPA, sadly a dying breed between the NEIPA's made. Simply a great beerstyle for me.
Brouwerij Kees
imperial stout, chocolate boozy bomb, very nice for a saturday evening
Chimay dark strong ale, only 93 to go before a trip to Belgium for drinking #100!

pastry stout, was indeed very berry like.
barrel aged raspberry stout. Ridicilous well made beer, it flows from the chocolate to a more vanilla from the BA to a tinge of tartness in the aftertaste, stacks of layers on top of each other. Bevog also makes a very good BA Barely Wine each year. While 2025 is still only 3 months on its way candidate for beer of the year.
